Nike Air Jordan XII (12)

Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan XII (12) in the 1996-97 NBA Season.

Offering both lightweight cushioning and lightning quick responsiveness, Zoom Air makes its Jordan debut on the XII. Inspired by "Nisshoki", the Japanese Rising Sun flag and a 19th century women dress boot, this shoe sets a new direction in style and technology.

The XII is also remembered for its part in one of Michael's most gutsy performances in the Flu game against Utah.

Claiming the scoring title for a ninth year (29.6 ppg) MJ is once again First Team and First Team All-Defensive. Having scored in double figures in 758 consecutive games, he moves up to fifth on the all-time scoring list with 26,920 points, notching at least 40 points on eight occasions and 30 or more 44 times. With 14 points and game highs in assists (11) and boards (11) he is the first to ever record an All-Star Game triple double. Chicago cruises through the post season with brutal efficiency dispatching Washington in 3, Atlanta in 5 and Miami in 5.

In Game 5 of the Finals against Utah, MJ puts in perhaps the most heroic performance of his career, scoring 38 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with a gut-wrenching stomach flu and 100+ degree fever. Chicago wins in six and Michael rightfully collects his 5th Finals MVP.
